TOUR 2

Our day starts with a leisurely scenic drive spotlighting the unique geography and panoramic vistas. This follows with Cathedral Grove, an ancient old growth forest with outstanding examples of massive 800 year old Douglas Fir, Western Hemlock and Western Red Cedars. We’ll stop at Coombs Old Country Market a well-known destination where you’ll find a family of goats nimbly grazing on its grass roof. We then board a 41-foot classic wooden vessel to learn about our unique neighbouring islands and the history of their explorations.

• We follow the scenic Oceanside route highlighting the quaint seaside communities.
• A beach stop will let you savour the magic of a tidal beach with its natural wading pools.
• Guided tour of Cathedral Grove – witness 800 year old trees that measure up to 9 metres in circumference.
• Lunch stop is at Coombs Old Country Market, an eclectic mix of funky artwork, crafts, souvenirs, food and drink.
• Board a 41-foot classic wooden vessel and discover our local Gulf Islands – Gerald Island, The Ballenas Islands, and Mistaken Island. Vessel has heated weatherproof viewing and washroom on board.
• View majestic eagles in their natural habitat and visit seals and sea lions sunbathing and lounging near the shores.
